Mamu, designed by Tomek Rygalik, is a very light and compact armchair for both domestic and commercial spaces. It takes advantage of the technological breakthrough in furniture, using moulded fleece for the three-dimensional geometry of it’s structural ergonomic seat.
Mamu collections are produced in the process of moulded light felt, which is made of polyester non-woven layers. It is soft and fluffy non-woven, which in the moulding process is turned into a lasting element of a unique shape in light and dark grey. The upholstered inner part of the seat is visible on the outside. The raw material applied in the panel production process has OEKO-TEX certificate.
It’s refined, sculptural shell is supported on light leg structures.
TOMEK RYGALIK, born in 1976 in Lodz.
Designer, lecturer, curator. He studied Architecture and Town Planning at the Politechnika Lodzka and Industrial Design at the Pratt Institute in New York (BA/Hons). After a few years of work for design companies in the US he undertook studies at the Royal College of Art in London (MA), where, after gaining a diploma, he become a research worker.Until today he received numerous international awards and many of his products were implemented. He co-operates, among others, with Moroso, NOTI, Profim, Ideal Standard, Siemens, Heineken, Ikea. He runs a design workroom at the Department of Industrial Design of the Arts Academy and Studio Rygalik in Warsaw. His designs were presented at numerous exhibitions, i.e. in Berlin, London, Milan, Munich, New York, Tokyo and Valence. Tomek implements also a number of projects for cultural institutions in Poland and abroad. For NOTI he designed Termo collection, outdoor or upholstered TULLI armchairs awarded with Red Dot Design Award 2016, Mamu chairs and acoustic furniture System - SoundRoom.

The structural element is formed from felt with a characteristic shape in Light Grey and Dark Grey.
Frame - legs are made of steel tube, powder coated in black. They are attached to the stiffened and reinforced part of the felt.
